Severn is a census-designated place in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Covering nearly 18 square miles of land, Severn is located just outside of Baltimore with a population of approximately 44,000 people. Severn offers a way of life reminiscent of the old days, while providing direct access to Baltimore’s big-city modern lifestyle. Severn is considered an ideal place to live and raise a family.
Even though it’s a small town, there is always something to do in Severn. Tourists and residents alike enjoy spending time at the Arundel Mills Mall or the National Cryptological Museum. The Severn Run Natural Environment Area sits just outside of town, offering an abundance of outdoor space to explore. Severn is the birthplace of several notable people, including singers Toni Braxton and Jessica Benson.
